There is a growing demand for touch panels that are designed for use in industrial, unattended (automatic teller machines, information displays) and some other applications. 3M company has announced a 15 inch MicroTouch CT150 LCD touch screen. A new model supplements the series which already has a 17 inch M170 and 15 inch M150.

High contrast ratio (500:1) has been pointed out by the manufacturers as the main advantage of a novelty. The feature allows using these touchscreens in digital photo kiosks where high image accuracy and color rendering are especially appreciated by customers. There is a possibility of display adjustment by means of remote control and OSD. It has also been reported about 3 frame designs and a wide choice of mount variants that allow this touch screen to be installed in any environment. CT150 touchscreen is characterized by high dust and water resistance and has special anti-glare coating. Its steel frame complies with VESA standards and makes CT150 an ideal solution for industrial application.

CT150 is expected to appear on the market on May 1 of this year; the price is unknown.
